Adventure, sport and outdoor lifestyle photography is the perfect way for me to enjoy the outdoors.. In this genre of photography I prefer to use as much available and natural light as possible, although will happily work with additional lighting (continuous or flash) when needed.  I aim for my work to be authentic and truthful, with a polished edit aesthetic influenced by 35mm film tonal range and grain, giving the images a soft, honest and timeless feel.

My photography style is a documentary approach, capturing authentic moments as they unfold, in remote and wild places. With the ability to shoot, direct and produce projects large and small, I will bring your ideas to life while doing so in a creative and unique style.

Riding bikes is in my blood, and over the many years, I’ve competed, raced, won and lost, but I truly love the sport and I go out as often as my busy workload allows me. Mountain biking, adventure sport and the natural environment are one side of my photography career I enjoy doing a lot. It’s my intimate knowledge that helps me make choices about what makes a good shot. I'm not just shooting away and fishing for a lucky image. The moment has to be stoking my vision before I even pull out my camera. Because I'm in tune with the sport, I feel I have a good sense of where it has been, where it is currently, and where it is headed.

I’ve been involved in editorial photography for many years now for Spoke, New Zealand Cycling Journal, New Zealand Mountain Biker, Ground Effect Clothing, MacPac (and others), covering mountain biking, kayaking, road cycling, tramping, and most outdoor sports in any location that has good scenery, long views and stunning landscape.
